New Junior League Launched

Main Image

Sunday 25th March saw 36 fresh faced children from Ipswich, Moreton Hall, and Martlesham compete in the newly launched Inter-Club Junior Squash League.

Each team consists of four players, of which one must be a girl, and each match was up to 15 points. Over the course of the morning saw over 100 matches that were played in fantastic spirit and saw many new players getting on court competitively for the first time! The league has another four fixtures spread across three different venues (ISC, Moreton Hall & Martlesham), and finishes with the grand final on Sunday 22nd July at Ipswich Sports Club.

The purpose of the new Junior league is to create a pathway into County squash for juniors who have just started their journey in squash, and also give them an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy their time of court. If you know of anybody who’d be keen to get involved, please contact your local Head Professional for further details and make sure you pencil the following dates into your squash diaries:

25th March at ISC (completed)

Saturday 28th April at Martlesham: host is Josh Turmel

Sunday 3rd June at Moreton Hall: host is Chris Lockwood

Sunday 24th June at Martlesham: host is Josh Turmel

Sunday 22nd July at Ipswich Sports Club: host is Emily Ison
