At the recent Suffolk Committee meeting, it was decided to try agin to run the Suffolk Closed Championship on 24/25 April. Players will be invited to attend until all 32 places for the main tournament are filled. Matches will be PAR scoring and there will be plate competition for 1st round users. Web-Bookings, the affordable online squash booking solution, will be putting up £100 prize money and it is hoped to get some sponsorship from Prince in the form of rackets and bags.
It was also decided that this year's Summer League would be played using PAR scoring, with a view to extending it to next year's Winter League.
Meeting attended by Dave Tayloy (Chairman), George Wiseman (Treasurer), Shirley Fairburn (Secretary), Dennis Morley (Development Officer), Martin Levens (Fixture Secretary) and Peter Alexander.
